2019 Toyota Avalon Safety

2019 Toyota Avalon Safety

The 2019 Toyota Avalon is a large sedan that comes with plenty of safety features. With this car, drivers who own a 2019 Avalon in Goldsboro can be confident that they are safe and sound.

The vehicle comes with Safety Sense suite that contains plenty of advanced safety features that include lane-keeping assist, automatic high beams, forward collision warning with automatic braking, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. Depending on the trim level, you may also get an Advanced Safety package that comes with rear parking sensors, a surround-view parking camera system and automatic braking.

Below, we take a look at the safety features that come with a 2019 Toyota Avalon.

Stability control
Stability control senses if the handling limits of the vehicle is exceeded, and automatically reduces engine power and/or applies select brakes. This helps the driver maintain control of the vehicle.

Anti-lock brakes
If a tire stops rotating under extreme braking, these anti-lock brakes will sense it and automatically modulate the brake pressure so as to enable tire rotation. This increases the car’s ability to turn while braking.

  • Front-impact airbags: In case of a frontal crash, front-impact airbags protect the head of the driver and passenger.
  • Side impact airbags:  In case of a side-impact collision, side-impact airbags, which are available for the front and rear seats, protect the torso.
  • Overhead airbags:  In case of a rollover or a side collision, overhead airbags provide adequate protection to the occupant's heads.
  • Knee airbags: In an accident, knee airbags safeguard the occupant’s lower extremities from serious injury.
  • Pre-tensioners:  The seatbelts are automatically tightened by the seatbelt pre-tensioners so that the occupant is seated in the optimal seating position to avoid severe injury.
  •  Security system:  The security system can expect and detect any unwanted intrusion. The ignition disables device prevents the engine from starting unless they use the original manufacturer key.

The IIHS gave the 2019 Toyota Avalon the hard-earned Top Safety Pick+ award, which means that the Avalon secured the 'Good' title in almost all the crash tests.
