2020 Toyota 4Runner Features

While a number of SUVs promise great performance across all terrains, a few actually match up to drivers’ expectations. The 2020 Toyota 4Runner, however, is a true 4x4 SUV that can handle rocky as well as muddy terrains alike.

The 4Runner boasts spacious seating as well as ample cargo space. The 2020 iteration comes with an improved infotainment system with Amazon Alexa, Apple CarPlay and Andriod Auto, that were not available in previous models.

The vehicle is available in a total of seven trims. They are the SR5, SR5 Premium, TRD Pro, TRD Off-Road, TRD Off-Road Premium, Limited, and the Nightshade Special Edition. Let’s take a look at some features of this car.

All the trims of the 2020 Toyota 4Runner have the Toyota Safety Sense-P suite as a standard feature. This suite has a number of driver assistance innovations including pedestrian detection, forward collision warning, automatic high-beam headlights, adaptive cruise control, forward automatic emergency braking, a rearview camera, and lane departure warning. Front and rear parking sensors are available as options. The previous versions of the 4Runner did not have these.

Tech features

The 2020 Toyota 4Runner has an infotainment system with a large touch-screen. The current system functions and looks better than the previous versions offered by Toyota. The vehicle has large knobs and buttons to adjust the climate control as well as the volume. The positioning and size of the buttons make them easy to use even while driving.

Other features that are standard for all trims include an eight-speaker stereo, voice recognition, HD and satellite radio, smartphone-linked navigation. Optional additions include dual-zone automatic climate control, a 15-speaker JBL premium stereo, a moonroof, and integrated navigation.

The 2020 4Runner has standard five-people seating, but you can opt for an additional third row with two extra seats. Cloth upholstery is standard, but you can opt for synthetic or genuine leather upholstery if you like.

The vehicle has two sets of LATCH connectors to fit in child seats and provides 47.2 cubic feet of cargo space behind the second row, along with 90 cubic feet when the second row is folded down.
